描述Last summer, I did a research on esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer is a common and deadly gastrointestinal malignancy. Right now, this severe cancer is not well known to people, so I want to use this research as an opportunity to help people pay more attention to this cancer and actively preventing from getting this type of cancer.
描述I also used my research project to participate in a science fair competition. In order to practice my presentation skills to the ability, me and my friend practice a lot of time to each other before the fair, helping each other to point out places we did not do well. Sometime during the weekend, we even practice until midnight.
描述Finally, after two rounds of science fair, I made it to the semi-final. Now, I am preparing for this semi-final science fair. Hopefully, I can make it to the final international science fair.

描述You need to be aware that there is a type of cancer which is very common, deadly, and not well researched. It was called the esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer tumor is a common gastrointestinal malignancy located at the lower part of the esophagus. Many people die from cancer, especially in China where there are a large number of patients with esophageal cancer.
描述Esophagus is the tube that connect our throat to our stomach. Its major function is to carry food to our stomach to digest. Esophageal cancer is the tumor formed inside our esophagus. The main reason people may get esophageal cancer is by eating carcinogen in a long term, which lead to mutation of skin tissue’s DNA forming tumor. If you have following symptoms, you need to go to the hospital and be checked by a doctor.

描述I met an elder man during the activity. Beside the more modernized medical ways of treating esophageal, he told me a lot traditional Chinese medical method of curing esophageal cancer.
描述I also prepared some small awards for the participants of my activity. People can received the award by correctly answered a question about esophageal cancer the randomly assigned. This especially interested small children. They carefully read my poster and trying to find the correct answer to the question. I am happy about it because, in the way, I successfully convey information about esophageal cancer to others.
描述There were many people there for the activity. For esophageal cancer, people didn’t generally have a lot of common knowledge about it. Therefore, I passionately introduced the topic and answered others questions.
描述When I am preparing for a community activity to bring awareness to my community members about the esophageal cancer. To do so, I designed a poster with pictures and explanation and printed out for the activity.
